1. Khairul Alam Choudhury-Chairman of AB Bank Limited
Mr. Khairul Alam Choudhury, Barrister-at-Law is the Chairman of AB Bank Limited. He graduated from University of Wolver Hampton, UK in 2001. Thereafter, Mr. Choudhury obtained his post-graduation from the City University, UK in 2002 and was also called to the Bar from Lincoln’s Inn, London in 2002. Mr. Choudhury is a practicing lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
2. Zaid Bakht-Chairman of Agrani Bank Limited
Zaid Bakht is a Bangladesh economist, researcher, and chairperson of Agrani Bank Limited, the second largest nationalized bank in Bangladesh. He worked as a research at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies.
3. Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu-Chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited
Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu is one of the founder Directors of AIBL. He is a renowned name in the business arena of the country and manages various business houses in different capacities.
He is the Vice Chairman of S Alam Group, one of the largest industrial groups of the country and chairman of S Alam Cold Rolled Steels Ltd, Vice Chairman of Ekushey Television (ETV), a leading satellite TV channel of the country.
Abdus Samad is a philanthropist who is involved in many social welfare and humanitarian activities. He is an Executive Member of Baitus Saraf Foundation and Chattogram Samity, Dhaka.
4. Professor Dr. Engr. Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury-Chairman of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCB)

Prof. Dr. Engr. Rashid Ahmed Chowdhruy was born in a reputed Muslim family from Agrabad, Chittagong. He completed his SSC from Collegiate High School and HSC from Chittagong College. Dr. Chowdhury obtained Associate in Science (Applied Science) & Associate in Applied Science in Mining Technology (Supervisory) from College of Eastern Utah, Price, USA. He also completed BSME & MBA (Management) from National University, San Diego, California, USA. He has completed his PhD from Chittagong University. He has published numerous articles in international peer reviewed journals and also serves as a Reviewer for ACI (Academic International) and ICICKM (International Conference on Intellectual Capital Knowledge Management).
5. Shamima Nargis-Chairman, Bangladesh Development Bank Limited
Shamima Nargis, former Senior Secretary to the Government has been appointed as Chairman of Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) on 14th November 2021. Prior to joining as Chairman, BDBL, she served as Member in the Planning Commission in the capacity of Senior Secretary to the Government.
In her long 32 years’ career of civil servant, she served in different ministries /divisions like Economic Relations Division, Local Government Division, Finance Division, Public Administration in the capacity of Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary and so on.
She obtained her Masters in English Literature from the University of Dhaka. She was a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow of the US State Department at the University of Minnesota USA. She participated in six months long Voice Secondment Program of World Bank representing the Government of Bangladesh. She has successfully completed Executive Program on Mastering Negotiation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
6. MD. NASIRUZZAMAN-Chairman, Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB)

Bangladesh Krishi BankMd. Nasiruzzaman, former Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture joined Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) as Chairman on December 14, 2020. Mr. Nasiruzzaman prior to his successful Secretarial job of two years in the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, he was the Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC). Before joining BKB he also served in different posts in field administration including Deputy Commissioner in Sherpur District. Besides, he performed duties in different positions in Finance Division, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Religious Affairs. He has got professional training from Duke University of Durham from USA, University of Wolverhampton, UK and Harvard University, USA. In his professional career, he participated in different important development programs in home and abroad. He travelled a number of countries in Asia, Europe, Australia, North America and Africa. Throughout his career, he got the opportunity to devote himself in sports and cultural activities, associated with different socio-cultural organizations.

Mr. Romo Rouf Chowdhury is one of the Sponsor Shareholders as well as Sponsor Directors of Bank Asia Ltd. Before being elected as the Chairman, he was one of the Vice-Chairmen of the bank. He is a graduate in Engineering from Durham University, United Kingdom. He has more than 30 years of experience as an industrialist. He is one of the successful young entrepreneurs of the country.
Currently, Mr. Chowdhury holds the position of Chairman of Rancon Group. Rancon Group has more than 30 subsidiaries, a few of which are Rancon Motorbikes Ltd., Rancon Motors Ltd., Rangs Ltd., Rangs Properties Ltd., Rancon Automobiles Ltd., Rancon Oceana Ltd., Rancon Sea Fishing Ltd. and Rancon Electronics Ltd.
9. Professor Dr. Abul Hashem-Chairman, Basic Bank Ltd
Professor Dr. Abul Hashem was born in a respectable Muslim family on January 31, 1950 in the district of Feni. He achieved Ph.D. degree in Accounting from the then USSR in 1981 and he published the abstract of his Ph.D. thesis in the prestigious ‘Moscow Institute of National Economy’ presently known as ‘Plekhanov Russian University of Economics’ in the same year. He was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at Suffolk University, Boston, USA during the years 1998-99. As a Senior Fulbright Scholar, he carried out a policy research on Foreign Direct Investment in Bangladesh. He has also achieved M.Com. Degree in Accounting in 1971 (Examination held in 1973) from the University of Chittagong. He joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka, in 1974 and became Professor in 1992. In his long academic career, Dr. Hashem taught various accounting and finance related courses in BBA, MBA and Evening MBA programs of the department of Accounting & Information Systems, University of Dhaka.
