Sending money in person with Western Union is easy. Choose the service that’s best for you and follow the simple steps below to find out how.
Money in Minutes service
- Search for an agent location near you.
- Complete the Send Money form.
- Give the agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.3
- Save your receipt and tracking number (MTCN). Your receiver will need the tracking number (MTCN) for pickup and you’ll need it to track your transfer.
Send money to a bank account:
- Getting money directly to your receiver is easier than ever when you transfer money to a bank account.1 Availability at all Western Union agent locations makes the process quick and convenient.2
- Search for an agent location near you.
- Complete the Send Money form, including your receiver’s bank and account information. Check what specific information is needed.
- Give the agent the completed form with the applicable funds (including transaction fee) in cash.3
- Save your receipt with the tracking number (MTCN).
- The money will be deposited into your receiver’s qualifying bank account within 3 bank business days in the destination country.
In some cases it could be deposited the next day. The 3-day count begins the day after you send your transaction. Check out destination-specific timing.

Sending funds, a customewr goes to a Western Union office and gives funds ( including fees) for “Next Day” or “Money in Minutes” service. The sender provides his or her required information( such as name and address, the recipient’s name, and a designated payment destination).Western Union then provides the customer (sender) a 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) that which the sender must provide to the recipient. The recipient then forwarded or proceeds to a Western Union agent office in the designated payment location, presents the 10-digit MTCN, and a photo ID. After justifying all information Money is paid out to the recipient. Some locations, if a recipient lacks identification documents, the sender and receiver may set up a pre-arranged password. Sending funds are paid out in cash, although if payment exceeds a local maximum or cash on hand, a check may be issued by the authority. Beaside this, a sender may forward funds to a recipient by using Western Union’s website or by phone.
